Captain Justin

Captain Justin Schmerheim was born and raised in St. Clair Shores and spent his entire life living a stone throw away from Lake St. Clair.

Living on the water allowed him to find fishing to be his biggest passion and he became absolutely consumed at an early age. His first job was at Lakeside Fishing Shop. Spending time around tackle, rods, and reels allowed him to become familiar with the newest and up-to-date equipment on the market.

Spending time around experienced fisherman took the learning curve to a different level. He bought his first boat in 2005 at the age of 13. Since 2005, he’s had a boat and been chasing smallmouth around Lake St. Clair to perfect his craft. His goal is to consistently improve as an angler by learning new techniques and absorbing as much knowledge about the lake system to share with his clients.
